At the risk of sounding like a broken record…Why should we “Send The Eagle Home?” AND Say No to US Managed Healthcare?
Simple – It’s restrictive to Patient Choice, restrictive to Doctor autonomy, it threatens patient-centric care and thrusts healthcare into pure profit making exercise at the detriment of providing excellent & quality care – where the dollars and cents patients can afford dictate the quality of care they will receive.
Hence, the message will be repeated over and over again, until those with power to legislate and regulate the behemoth Honeysuckle Cigna NIB from introducing US Style Managed Care into Australia actually take note, listen and work to preserve patient-centric care.
We need to send the eagle home and Protect the Australian Healthcare System from Insurance companies’ cost-cutting exercise at the expense of quality healthcare – where Cost takes precedence over Care & Profit is made more important than People.
